The February TBR

5:58 PM

I just have a lot of books I want to read this month.

Because you all want to know what I'm up to this month, I'm going to throw out some of the books I have stacked up to consume this month. (I'm sure there'll be a lot more than this. Because books, guys, books.)

My hopes aren't too high, but I love superheroes too much to not try this. YA doesn't have enough superhero action going down.

*sobs for the rest of forever* I'm re-reading Red Rising and Golden Son in anticipation of that, and the feels will be way too real. but seriously this comes out in like five days???? urgh.

Somehow I've ended up reading a lot of contemporary lately? So we'll see how this goes down. I really enjoyed The Last Time We Say Goodbye recently, so maybe this'll have the same vibe and be a little more hopeful than All the Bright Places

I'm a total sucker for books like this. (and that coverrrrr, tho.)

I only vaguely know what this is about but it's interesting enough for me to pick it up. So there.

We're doing medieval stuff in school right now and I've seen nothing but glowing reviews of this (including a recommendation by my mom, the very best bookish inspiration) so here we go. even if, honestly, i'm not a fan of all things Camelot.

There are many other books too, and some comics, but you'll just have to wait and see what those are. Also, you could stalk my Goodreads. That's an option.

What do you peeps want to read this month?

  1. I just have... so many books I want to read. CALAMITY. And because of Calamity I want to reread Steelheart and Firefight because I love them so much. Also:
    - The Wrath and the Dawn
    - Truthwitch
    - Unwinddddddd
    - Red Rising (is that what it's called? Me no remember. :P)
    - finish Six of Crows.
    - and probably a lot of others but my mind is dead today, so. :P

  4. ooooh I need to read Zeroes. Scott Westerfeld is one of my all time favourite authors. My Heart and Other Black Holes is pretty good--I read it last year I think. And I definitely need to finish Wolf by Wolf. I think I was just in a weird funk when I started it in December.

I'm reading Bruiser right now, and I have a few other Shusterman books on my February TBR...he's so goooooood. XD

    1. I haven't read much Westerfeld other than Leviathan, so I'm excited to see where this goes!

  5. Currently I'm reading Among the Brave by Margaret Peterson Haddix... I read the first two books in the series a while back and I just discovered that they had the whole set at my library, so I'm looking forward to finishing those. -stares at stack of books- I think having them stacked up in my room waiting for me is more motivation than having them waiting for me at the library. It's like they're staring at me impatiently. xD There are also some other books by that author at the library, so I want to check those out too.
I'd also like to read the Inkheart books, and Firefight, and Cress, and... basically everything at the library. I want all the books.

  7. I don't even know how many books are in my TBR pile at this point. My friend recommended 'Memory, Sorrow and Thorn' by Tad Williams, so I'll certainly be reading that...after I finish A Tale of Two Cities...And Beowulf...and...yeah...it's a long list.

  10. AAAAAAH I'm reading "Wolf By Wolf" this month, too. At least, that's the plan. I just found out about Ryan's books last month and I'm SERIOUSLY SO EXCITED FOR ALL OF THEM. <3

  12. I'm very curious about Wolf By Wolf because I've heard people reading it, but nobody has really talked about whether they liked it or not which is kind of weird. I'm not hearing good things, but not bad things either... If you read it, I'd be interested to hear what you dis/like about it—will you be reviewing it on Goodreads?

  13. I have such a pretty copy of TOaFK. Not that I'll get round to it for a loong time but that's OK.

I want to finish Les Mis! I'm 900 pages in out of 1200 so I'm doing well :)
